Mary Dorian: Hmm?

Mary Dorian tells us on the Elijah List God visited the earth through Jesus, who was Emmanuel, God with Us, and now He will be experienced in some amazing and supernatural ways in this new decade. His glory, the essence of His deep love, will be felt by so many people. The world is groaning and waiting to know Him and He will move in marvellous and beautiful ways. Anyone reading this will probably say: "What's wrong with these words?" They may even add "I don't think the writer of this article has got a clue!"

So, what are we talking about? Firstly, God did not just visit us He came with a purpose, which was mapped out throughout the entire Old Testament of the Bible. The Old testament is that dusty old book which we no longer use because we supposedly have the Holy Spirit today - how wrong can one be. Jesus's mission was to save mankind from itself and provide a way of salvation, which would not comprise God's righteousness. He died on the Cross to save us from our SINS. This is a word which the NAR or New Apostolic Reformation rarely uses because it is does not resonate with their ideas. Bring on the new model, designed by the NAR, which will shine forth and the world will just flock to worship God and we shall see the biggest harvest of souls ever.

This brings us to the next point when Mary Dorian says: He will be experienced in some amazing and supernatural ways in this new decade . This is just sabre rattling to stir the troops. God can only be experienced once one is truly born again. Oh no, not that old chestnut, surely. Yes that old chestnut. You can only reach God (for want of a better expression) through the ways he has proscribed. That way is through being saved from your sin, which will require, firstly, confession and then the forsaking of sin. How do you forsake your sin? The answer is by seeing it nailed to the Cross of Jesus who became sin for us (2Corinthians 5:21). Only then can the Holy Spirit be released into your life!

Then there is a third point when she says: His glory, the essence of His deep love, will be felt by so many people. Sensing his glory and love is not the requirement to be born again and sadly if that is your "conversion experience" it will not save you on the Day of Judgement. The essence of His deep love was demonstrated on the Cross at Calvary and nowhere else.

This leads on to the fourth point, where Mary Dorian writes: The world is groaning and waiting to know Him and He will move in marvellous and beautiful ways. The world is groaning, yes, but the world is not waiting for Him - it has its own agenda. Open and read any newspaper today and it quickly becomes apparent that what is happening in the world demonstrates that it has it's own agenda and has no interest in any god whatsoever exept the god of mammon. God is not about to move in marvellous and beautiful ways. He has given us His Son and the world will continue on its unhappy, selfish course until the day when Jesus returns and then sin will be exposed for all to see. The Bible was two thousand years in the making and it has taken two thousand years for it to be utterly rejected by this modern world. The modern world rejects the Bible because the loudest voices in the Christian world have also rejected it.
