Cindy Jacobs

Cindy Jacobs writes on the Elijah List here saying: The Lord says to you, "Prepare to possess. Prepare to have restitution." So what are we possessing? If to gain something is to possess it, then the only thing that we will ever gain is eternal life. But Cindy is a big cheese in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and big cheeses must make big pronouncements occasionally and this is the latest such pronouncement. Firstly we should note that he act of possessing for Cindy is to take territory from the enemy. This gross distortion of the truth is a direct result of the mysticism embraced by the NAR. Using this mysticism the NAR has generated a an eschatology which bears little resemblance to Biblical escatology. This difference goes entirely unnoticed by their adherents. Just one big different will suffice by way of illustration: In NAR terms, when Jesus returns he will do so at the invitation of the NAR. This is contrary to scripture where Jesus himself tells us But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Matthew 24:36. If only the Father knows then how will the NAR know?

Prepare to have restitution. This is the sort of phrase which the NAR loves to use. You have all been hard done by, you have all suffered, whether physically, financially, health-wise and so forth but now, God is going to restore it all to you. This means that God owes you something, which in financial terms means that He is our debtor. This is utterly contrary to scripture. Paul writes: Therefore, brethren, we are debtors - not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:12-13 NKJV. According to Paul WE are God's debtors. For our salvation, we owe God an unpayable debt. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Romans 8:16-17. Our suffering in this life is nothing compared to that which we will receive in the next.

The NAR gives scant regard to such ideas as: Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 NASB. For many, these words seem to be irrelevant and part of the stuffy old way of doing "church". The consequence of throwing out the stuffy old ways is that a person cannot be born again and he or she will suffer in this life without the hope of an eternal reward.

Cindy then follows up these words by saying: Prepare for God to reach back into your generations. Maybe your parents didn't end well; maybe your grandparents didn't. Maybe you're a foster child; maybe you're a child of a family that was emotionally stunted, or you're adopted. There are so many maybes, so many imponderables yet all these problems are dealt with when one is born again. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 1Cor 5:17. You cannot get round the fact of being born again - there is no other route into God's Kingdom whilst, sadly, the NAR seems to think there is. Scripture tells us that God does not need to reach back into our past and heal our hurts. They are healed on the cross of Jesus at Calvary and nowhere else.

Cindy Jacobs has uttered words in the name of God which are contrary to the Word of God (that is the Bible). The warnings in the Bible are clear: But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. Deuteronomy 18:20. Cindy Jacobs has made many prophecies which have not come to pass. Cindy you need to repent.
