Madeline James: Transition

Madeline James writes on The Elijah List where she says the following: I have sensed such transition happening in the realm of the spirit. This is manifesting in the natural through transitions and uncoverings in the governmental realm, entertainment world, sports mountain and in the Body of Christ. Most notably in the last few weeks transitions are occurring in ministries and relationships. I recently released a word that God was issuing a garment change to the Body of Christ.

Clearly, this statement has New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) leanings since the seven mountains is very much an NAR invention and cannot be found in scripture. However, Madeline writes and prophesies not in the biblical sense as viewed by all the biblical prophets, but more like a fortune teller. For instance, she uses the words: I sense. This is not how an Old Testament prophet spoke. They all said things like "Thus says the LORD". There is a positive sense in everything they said. They knew with absolute certainty that God had told them what to say and thus they could be positive in their language. It should be noted that even Old Testament prophets such as Jeremiah and Ezekiel were unable to change the ways of the people of Israel. Yet here, Madeline says "I sense", which contains no sense of urgency.

Sadly, the NAR adherents see it as their task to fight spiritual battles in a way that is not biblical. Who for instance, in either the Old or New Testaments, ever "took land for Jesus"? Where in the Bible does it tell us to decree things? Why did the Apostle Paul not talk about the Seven Mountains? The strange thing is that Seven Mountains are mentioned in the Book of Revelation, which says: This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills, on which the woman sits. Revelation 17 v9. This is within the description of the harlot in the same chapter. The harlot has to be understood as the apostate church as opposed to the true church, which is the Bride of Christ. The apostate church is composed of every dead religion, not just denominations of the Christian church - it is every false religion. False religions do not point to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. They may embrace much of the Bible but not all of it. These false religions will be destroyed.

So where do members of the NAR stand? Their understanding and interpretation of much of the Bible is so flawed they can only stand amongst the false religions and represent the five virgins who did not have oil in their lamps. This oil speaks of God the Holy Spirit who operates in line with what is written in the Bible, which after all was written under His inspiration. The canon of scripture was closed by the following statements in scripture:I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. Revelation 22 vv8-9.

Madeline under the heading Transformation and Metamorphosis continues by saying: The Lord began to show me 2018, the year of the open door, is really the open door to transition for the Body of Christ on a large and personal scale. Transition can be defined as "movement, passage, or process of changing from one state or stage to another". Where in the Bible does it define years such that this year can be described as the year of the open door? And where in scripture do we transition? The words "transition" and "door" are NAR-speak. Many in this hour are in the hallway or the passage of transition. Transition is the space between your last season to the promise of your new. Transition is the place of transformation and metamorphosis. These are high sounding but meaningless words. And then she tells us that: As Believers, we should always be in a place of movement and transformation. The more we behold Him, the more we become like Him, going from glory to glory. He's maturing the immature places in us. Where is all that in scripture?

According to the Hebrew calendar 2018 is the year 5778. The prophetic meaning behind these numbers is significant. 5 is the number grace. Grace is God's supernatural empowerment that enables you to do or accomplish what He has ordained for your life. Zechariah 4:6 declares, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts." This sounds very logical but the logic is not continuous. The Bible does not record meanings of numbers as she suggests, yet she immediately jumps into the Book of Zechariah as if to prove her contention and the result is another supposed word from the Lord: The Lord is going to release the grace you need to empower you through this transition. God the Father released grace to us in the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who was willing to die for us and save us from our sins. Our sinful state is our ticket to hell and without acknowledging who we are as sinners and who He truly is as Lord and Saviour, we cannot and will not see God’s presence and live.
