Dutch Sheets: The Gospel
Why have preachers like Dutch Sheets moved away from preaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ?Why have preachers like Dutch Sheets allowed themselves to be seduced by evil spirits? When preachers move away from the Gospel and start to decorate their preaching with all kinds of "supposedly" spiritual ideas, then the Gospel is lost and a nation like the United States will morally collapse. It cannot be denied that this collapse is already underway.
Preachers like Dutch Sheets have turned away from the simple Gospel that the Bible gives us. Can they turn it around? It seems unlikely, but it is possible.
The Gospel is very simple: We are born sinners because of Adam's sin. Our spiritual nature is Adam's nature, which condemns us all to Hell. Enter Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whose ministry was to die on the Cross for our sins and our salvation. When we repent and confess our sins asking Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour then at that moment we become born again. At that moment we also lose our Adamic nature and put on the new nature. We are justified through his death. What is required after that is that we live a life of faith, dedicated to doing His will.
Let us examine some of Dutch's claims:
We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. Where is that in scripture - it simply is not there.
With these weapons, I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts' desire is obedience to Christ. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts a person of their sins - not a preacher.
We must not grow weary in "our prayers" for revival and give up. The divine power they release is what God uses to turn a nation. This is just nuts!!! And Yes! you will grow weary, very weary.
Our identificational repentance cleanses; Identificational repentance does not appear in the Bible! There is only one way to repent.
our appeals bring grace and mercy; Be honest do those appeals bring anything?
our Spirit-led decrees bind satanic activities and schemes. Again, where is this in the Bible. This is not true in any shape or form?
He is using us to save our nation and usher in worldwide harvest/revival. You blind fools.
We are fighting a good fight. If it is not scriptural it is useless.
No doubt Dutch Sheets will scorn any suggestion that he is in error, only believing that he is right. The point is: he is relying on a Charismatic revival which does not even come close to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If the Lord is not in it then they who labour, labour in vain.
