Bobby Conner: Yoohoo It's Me! Bob Jones!

Is this a prophecy from Bob Jones? Bobby Conner writes for the Elijah List and says: Bob said with a childlike smile, "YOU know what this means don't you?" I replied somewhat tentatively, "I think I do!" He said in a most confident tone, "It is the HARVEST!" He said, "The coming harvest will be spearheaded by the prophetic." At this point you need to get the dates right. Bobby Conner's article which includes this quotation is dated 23rd April 2014 and Bob Jones passed away on 14th February 2014. So here's the question again: Is this a prophecy from Bob Jones. It would be simple to gloss over this problem but Bob Jones was a prophet revered by a great many and that great many will now have read these words and believed them. If this is a Bob Jones prophecy then Bobby Conner has found a source for producing a great many words from Bob Jones.

In truth Bobby Conner had a dream very early one morning when he was in his study writing his latest book. Dear Ole Bob dropped in through the window without waiting for it to be opened, looking the picture of health. Bobby then tells us that: I had been expecting his visit; nevertheless, words can't describe my delight and thrill! I was so excited to see my dear friend, I said, "I've been expecting this meeting! And looking forward to it." He quickly replied in an excited tone, "Me too!" His next words were, "You are doing fine!" And he said, placing both hands on his chest, "And I am doing wonderful." Just what you might expect from a meeting of two old friends and of course, the conversation continues with In this encounter it seemed as if we could communicate without actual conversation, spirit to spirit, with our hearts. Then he said, "Have you noticed your hair?" I replied, "No, not really!" He said in an instructive tone, "Run your hand through your hair." Accordingly, I ran my right hand through my hair; it felt perfectly normal. Then Bob said in a delighted, gleeful tone, "Look in your hand." When I looked at my hand, I had hundreds of golden pieces of strands. These golden particles seemed to me like the shaft of arrows, only much smaller! They were round and very straight, about one foot in length. A paragraph later Bob says: Suddenly these golden shafts appeared to turn into wonderful, huge stalks of ripe grain.

This then is what prompts the Bob Jones' prophecy above regarding the harvest. Bobby Conner is entitled to dream if he wishes, but is it scriptural for such a dream to be made public as bona fide prophecy? The Bible is unmistakably clear on this subject and what Bobby Conner is doing:

When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn the ways of the nations there. Let no-one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practises divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 18 vv9-13.
